How to start career in translation.(Anuvad Sulekh)

This open source is for those, who all have contacted me in last few months for starting a career in field of translation.

I tried to talk to everyone but it seems very hard to make understand things one by one so, I chose different and reliable path where you don’t need to think why I am so kind to give you time?

No offense but our surroundings makes us like this not to believe in goodness.

Technology has a good and bad thing at same point of time, that it has no ‘sense’.

It has only information which we need to translate into sense, so I am trying to make sense of my helping nature without fear of judging.

Why I am writing of this?

Well it has many dimension to explain, but for now I’ll just say that I got some experiences like this where people couldn’t believe that someone to whom they don’t know or to whom they didn’t talked in past but now talking for their own reasons,  how can he be this type of kind to them…. and they directly realized me that to be good, to be nice is not new norm of society.

Any how I do not want mental stress and same point of time I do not want to change my nature for foolish assumptions of life. So, I am writing this type of blogs starting from this where I will provide you links and method to boost your career in field of translation.

 So apart from that explanation of writing and choosing not to talk much individually, in this blog I am going to discuss on three primary things which you freshers as well as translators those are from different backgrounds(apart from language and literature) need to understand.

Why you need to do this?

Translation is not like just to put word in place of word, you may know more than 10 languages, it does not mean you can be a translator of all known languages or even for any two languages.

Why I am saying this?

“Language is a social decoding of expression” and in society there are many dimensions like –

·        legal,

·        social,

·        culture

·        education

·        economics

so, suppose you have a legal document to translate then it needs a different approach to make useful and classy for target audience or reader.

IGNOU content will help you to understand these things.

LinkedIn- yes you heard right on LinkedIn I am writing about use of LinkedIn.

Here you must find out some keywords of this industry like you need to put those word into your profile like –

·        translation

·        creative writing

·        language teaching

·        interpretation

·        localization

·        blog

·        content and many more like this.

Here you do not need to just send your invitation to whom you know or liked.

Here on LinkedIn you need to spent time in reading post, find out your industry mentors send them invite.

 You need to talk to them for job, for recommendation, some of them will reply some will reply if posting is there, but this is the only a way to find out right things on right time.

Write some experiences of yours which can be helpful for us, like comment and share relevant idea, thoughts, post.

Naukri.com – on this site also you need to identify right keywords which will connect you with right recruiters.

Fill your all data on this site upload your updated resume, do search in search options.

Be aware-

In all this process you need to be careful to this fact that no one neither any company nor any HR consultancy ask for money to candidate.

Process is very simple

1.     they will see your profile

2.     will download your resume

3.     will send you mail or will call you

4.     ask you to give some test

5.     if you qualify that than will take second round or sometime third round

6.     will discuss CTC or salary or project estimate coast.
